How long do I have to file a claim in Arizona?
Usually two years from the date of the accident under A.R.S. § 12-542. Claims against a city, county, or the state have a much shorter notice deadline of 180 days. Evidence disappears long before either deadline, so do not wait.
What if I was partly at fault?
Arizona uses pure comparative fault (A.R.S. § 12-2505). You can still recover even if you share some of the blame; your recovery is reduced by your percentage of fault. Adjusters routinely inflate that percentage. We push back with evidence.
